The clock is useless...only the hands light up - and not for all that long - and the numbers do not. It's very difficult to set the alarm. I only use it for as a decorative time piece and I'm fine with that. Be forewarned, this should NOT be your main time piece or alarm clock. Period.
This is a very attractive clock and the perfect bed-side size. The antique white color goes very well with the decor in my guest room. I admit I haven't placed batteries or set it yet but will do so when my guests arrive.
Overall, I am pleased with this clock. However, it does have gold around the face. It was pictured with silver, which I would have preferred. I was hoping the clock would have a bell alarm, but it is a beep. It sounds just like the alarm on a digital clock. Otherwise, I am really enjoying it. You do have to make sure it gets plenty of sun so the hands will glow in the dark.

Thank you for sharing your comments on this item. Though we are glad that you’re enjoying your new clock, we are sorry you’re disappointed with the color and that you’re having trouble reading it at night. We’ve noticed that other customers have posted similar comments about the luminescence of the clock’s hands, so we’d like to clarify this feature. After the hands “charge” in natural daylight, they will glow in the dark for up to two hours.
We apologize for the inconvenience. If you'd like to exchange your clock for another item or arrange for a complete refund, please give us a call any time. Thanks again for taking the time to send your feedback.

Got this because my wife's hand cream damaged the plastic lens on her Seiko alarm. The glass lens/face on this one has proved to be adequate for this use. The clock itself is a low end quartz unit, with roughly stamped case and poorly designed knobs which are difficult to use. It works (keeps time and wakes you up), which is what you want in an alarm clock. Pricey.
