love the way the sleeves keep the wind/air from going up the sleeve. super warm and surprisingly light weight for such a warm jacket. Bought the jacket before moving to Chicago and while pregnant. Was able to fit into it til the last days of my pregnancy and it still fits great afterward too. Also kept me warm during Chicago's 3rd worst winter storm/blizzard ever! only bad thing is the hood is a little big but guess its good if you wear your hair up. i love this jacket!

I have the Ultrawarm long coat and love it so much that I had to have the jacket too! These coats are great! They are lightweight and so very warm. The details like the fur that zips off, the zippered, lined pockets and the wind-blocking sleeves make it far superior to anything available in the retail stores. L.L. Bean, you rock!

Very warm, yet so light I barely know I have it on. Good fit (I'm a little wide in the hips). Soft, lined pockets and cuffs on inside of sleeves. I like that it has both a zipper and snaps (often I just do up the snaps for going in the car). Zip off hood is an excellent feature. I like the blue color. I'm quite happy with this new coat.
I am overall very pleased with this jacket. I have worn this jacket in temperatures of 1 degree with the wind chill in the negatives. It is very good in blocking the wind.The flap over the zipper is great at doing it's job and keeping the wind out. I found that as long as I am dressed appropriately for the weather and wearing many layers, I am quite cozy and warm. I love the cuffs on the inside of the sleeves, the velco at the hood, and the zippers on the outside pockets! The information available regarding fit matches well. However, I have an athletic build (broad shoulders, slim wasteline). As I had anticipated, due to my build, I had to purchase a size larger and have it taken in around the wasteline area, because it was so large in the wasteline area, the wind would go right up inside the jacket! A recommendation for future improvement would be to add a drawstring. This would allow ladies of all shapes and sizes to be accomodated. I would also like to have and inside zippered pocket. Those two addditions would make the jacket PERFECT!
