I've only had this jacket for two weeks, but it's been a very cold two weeks. So far, it's kept me super warm. It was -18 degrees at the bus stop this morning, but I was kept comfortable during the wait. My legs were another story. I just noticed that the faux fur trim zips off the hood, which is also removable! What a great idea.

I bought this coat for walking the dog in our new subdivision. I discovered that the north wind whips through our neighborhood and cut through my "warm" coats. I bought this a week before a cold spell in Iowa and couldn't believe how toasty I was! It truly feels like you're wrapped up in your down comforter. I love the raspberry color (my favorite) and the cut allows you to layer underneath. The hood is also warm and well-cut so that the faux fur shelters your face from wind. I don't mind winter so much now! Love it! Definitely a great value.

My first down jacket, did not disappoint. Although I was looking for the longer jacket, which wasn't available in a pretty color in my size (only in the white, which I didn't want to worry about cleaning), I am very pleased with this coat. Ribbed cuffs inside the sleeves, with a zip up front and snaps keep the wind out(and we get gusts up to 45mph routinely). The jacket runs true to sizing, but with room for layers underneath. The hood is VERY DEEP, and with it up I get "tunnel vision" but again, it's good for keeping warm and dry without an extra hat. I've had no problem with feather leakage, and it is a lovely color (in the brown) and I have received many compliments. The pockets are felt lined, so nice and warm to put my hands into, and they carry my keys, ID, and other small items. Since the lining is nylon, it can feel chilly next to the skin when you first put it on. But is very warm for those 0-degree days.

I love this jacket. It is the second one I bought from LL Bean. It is warm and durable. Great for Chicago winters. Don't change a thing about this jacket!
