Earlier today I wrote a review about the size and lack of pockets in this jacket. When I wore the jacket this afternoon, I found an interior, zipped pocket I had missed. Mea Culpa. There is an interior, zipped pocket on the right side - guess if I were left handed, I might have seen it! However, my other comments, especially about the size of the "phone" pocket, still pertain. Sorry if I confused anyone.
I've had this jacket for over a year now. I should have ordered a size down because it runs big but I hate returning things so I dealt with it. For a while now the down has been poking through the nylon and coming out of the jacket. Too make matters worse I have the black one, so it looks as though I have a bad case of dandruff with the white down coming through. Also the zipper is starting to give me trouble. It's too bad because the jacket is very warm. This might be the first time I test the LL Bean satisfaction guarantee because I really hate wearing this now.
The color was more of a fuscia than a dark raspberry. The jacket felt lighter weight than expected and the fit was very boxy. I was most disappointed that the faux fir trim was more brownish than white (which is what I thought it would be). I guess for $99 this is what you can expect.
I was in search of great coats this Fall. I wanted style, function, fit and warmth. Went on line and tried this one..hoping it would be a winner. I was skeptical about the color..but it is a pretty, but not contemporary blue color . The fabric is great..not stiff..and seems durable. Definite warmth without weight..so far it's a tough call...in the end it went back because the bottom is too open and unflattering...seems like they took the parka style and shortened it for a jacket. It needs reshaping.
