This jacket is just as described. The material stays soft when below freezing. The only thing I didn't like was the fur trim. It is attractive and soft but when you put the hood up it blocks your vision somewhat. It will keep your face warm if you don't mind it. Nice idea to have it removable.

I love this coat, and I re-iterate that everytime I use it! It's very warm, no wind gets through, but not bulky. It has plenty of room - I'm a size 16, bought the XL and still have room for a sweater but, prefer a lighter shirt because it's so warm. I know I will have this coat for many years, like my last LL Bean jacket - 13 years!
