love love love this coat. It has all the features i was hoping to find. Plus the added benefit of llbean quality. this is my second coat from llbean, and i love this one as much as the first. This style has it all, if you are looking for a warm verstile coat, this is it. the features i enjoy are the little touches, the felt like lining in the pockets, ( it keeps your hands warm when you forget gloves !) the water repellent shell is so nice when it snows (again !), the extra pockets you don't realize you need untill you have them, the cuffs at the end of the sleeves to keep the cold air from blowing up your arms. love it all i would rebuy this coat over and over.
I purchased one Ultra Warm down jacket for my daughter. Neither she or her siberian husky are easy on her outdoor gear. This coat has been warm, stylish, washable and a great value. We were so pleased that I purchased another for her!
I got this jacket just in time for bone chilling temps in the midwest. It's very warm and is sized correctly, as the fit is perfect. The only thing I could say the least bit negative is that the side pockets could be larger. They fit a pair of gloves, but with keys, cigs or anything else, it's too tight a fit...and being angled with a side zip, I have to zip them so nothing falls out. Other than the pockets, I love it and would recommend it.
Warm without being too heavy... Periwinkle is a gentle blue that works for me. Hood feels soft and comforting around my neck as well as keeping my head warm.
