I bought this coat for use in Colorado & tested it in 3ft of snow. It was toasty warm and I love the adjustable hood. It has a Velcro tab to make it smaller and fits my smaller head. The sleeves have inside cuffs and it has 2 inside pockets-1 for a cellphone. It is true to size and the only thing I would add are cargo pockets & maybe a drawstring at the waist. I love reading the reviews, they really do help me make decisions.
I like this coat. I also have the three-quarter length as well. I am an avid walker in any weather. These down coats are constructed nicely - easy to move around in and hold up to any degree of wind and cold. An excellent purchase for the price too.
Ran a little big. Material nice, Periwinkle pretty. Just a little too puffy to be excellent at not adding pounds so see if designer could scale it down a bit and maybe add more quilting to control the down puffiness. Also, needs to be a few inches longer so it covers the butt completely.
I have been looking to replace my 15 year old winter parka that has worn out. It is a frustrating process as I am unable to find a jacket that I like as well as my old one. I ordered this jacket as it was on sale and I am looking for something light weight but warm. This is a beautiful jacket ( I ordered the deep raspberry). It is light, but warm and I liked the feel of the material. Unfortunately the style is terrible. It is "boxy" like the picture suggests. There is no drawstring at the hips or waist and on me the hips were about 5" too wide so the wind could blow right up your back (I am 5'5", 135lb.) Even my husband said it was an unflattering look on me. I returned it today and am now going to order the Rugged Ridge Parka. I hope I like that better.
