Although I've purchased many products online over the years, this is the few review I've ever written. This just a nice coat, wonderfully warm for the money. On cold days, I can feel the cold through my boots, but nothing under my coat.. it's as if there is no cold at all.
nice coat.. and nice that it comes in petite also.. so nice for those of who have shorter arm sizes, etc.. rolling up sleeves is hard to do on coats.
I bought this jacket in the periwinkle color on sale. The color is not actually a true periwinkle as it appears online. It is more a light lavender color. It is a pretty color, just not periwinkle and not what I wanted. This does seem to be a warm, comfortable jacket. The color of the faux fur is prettier than on most other jackets of this type which usually have the brownish coyote color fur. I didn't like the lining in the pockets, which is not actually fleece but is like a thick tricot lining--not something I enjoy touching. I agree with other reviewers that the cut is a bit wide around the bottom, which wouldn't be a problem if there were a cinch to adjust it. The zipper is a two-way and seems sturdy. I really wanted to like this jacket, especially since I got it on sale, but in the end I decided it just wasn't what I was looking for.
I purchased this 1+ month ago in periwinkle and it's gorgeous! After reading reviews I decided to purchase a Large (shirt size is medium). Glad I did, as I can wear bulky sweaters or vests comfortably under it. I also have long arms, and the sleeve length is perfect. Have worn it without added layers to about 12 degrees, but recently temps dropped to -10 and it was toasty warm worn over a sweatshirt.
Best: Removable hood, interior pocket, interior cuffed sleeves, waterproof exterior (have not washed it yet) Great color.
Worst: Hard to dislike anything about this, but I have to say that the boxy quilt style does not allude to any curves underneath, but, hey, it's cold out there!
I received this jacket as a Christmas gift and LOVE it! Not only is it a decent value for the money, but it is very warm and perfect for playing on the snow with the kids on cold new england days!
