Although this coat is very warm, it could be warmer in that the bottom is cut so wide that cold air gets under it and in turn makes you cold. I expected a much better fit from LL Bean. I was disappointed.
I just recieved this jacket(right before it went on sale) sigh. BUT, the temp went down to 7 degrees tonite in Ohio and I am positively thrilled! I was snug as a bug in a rug!!! Geese really know what they're talkin about! The down kept me nice and warm, but not hot. LOVE IT!!!
This coat really does it's job, without creating excess "stay puff marshmellow" bulk. It's easy to drive in, and fits nicely in the closet. The raspberry is a cheerful, and not tacky, shade. Will wear for many seasons to come. Another L.L. Bean 'investment piece'
I bought this coat for my 12 year old daughter and she loves it. Says it's the best coat she's ever worn; that it's light weight and very warm and she loves the color (brown). She's also received many compliments about it. I'm very satisfied with the coat. The zipper is well constructed and I say this because another LL Bean jacket I picked out for myself last year has a poor quality zipper however the rest of the coat is very nice. The zipper on this coat is much improved. I would recommend this coat to others.
