This is the first time I've ordered a jacket from LL Bean, and I definitely will again in the future. This jacket is lightweight and warm. I tested it out by going for a walk on a cold, windy 20 degree day, and the only things cold were my legs. It was very comfortable for a winter walk. I purchased a medium, and the only thing I would change is making the sleeves a bit roomier.
I ordered this jacket for my daughter in a Medium. The sleeves are quite long & the jacket is very large through the body. Overall, the jacket itself is nice and a good buy however, it appears the Medium is more like a Large.
I bought this jacket for my mom for Christmas and she loves it! She wanted something that gave her more coverage in length without being too long and this jacket covers the backside perfectly! It's light, but very warm and comfortable. And there is plenty of room to wear a few layers underneath. I bought it in the periwinkle color, which is just gorgeous. My mom is very picky and she was absolutely happy with this jacket.
I bought one size larger than I wear, and it was roomy enough to fit over my bulkiest sweater, but it's also warm and comfy over a light-weight turtleneck. The hood is great--didn't even notice the brutal Oklahoma wind. I'm extremely happy with this jacket.
