Lightweight and comfortable. The color Paperwhite looked very white in the catalogue, but is more of a light ivory...was disappointed at first, but I've gotten used to it already.
This jacket fits true to size. I am 5'4" and around 130, the small fit fine with plenty of room to wear sweaters underneath. Some bean coats run just huge, but I would call this one roomy but not unexpectedly large. .
The spruce was a little more blue than green to my eye, but maybe that it what spruce means - I thought it would be more of a green. Once I got over the fact I didn't get my dark green coat, I was fine with the color. It really is a beautiful shade. The inside lining is slick, so layering with sweaters underneath should be comfortable, without sleeves bunching up inside the coat. The lining was a slightly more forest green color than the coat. I didn't think it clashed, if anything I would prefer more contrast rather than an exact match
The jacket covers my rear end, but I have a fairly short torso. The only things I would change are the hood & the tabs underneath. With the hood up, the tabs under the chin swing out like huge rectangles. I tried tucking them into the neck of the hood, but sometimes they pop out. I have to fold the fur ruff back on itself to have the hood up, because otherwise the hood would fall below my nose.
