I was disappointed when I received this coat. I ordered a regular medium which is the size I always take in coats because I like to wear a sweater under them. I am 5'4" and weight 122 lbs. I'm athletic. The coat is enormous. seems more like a plus size or a large, or even XL. It was about 8-10" to wide in the body. When you lay it out flat, it is shaped like a square. The sleeves are very long and very wide. there is no draw cord around the bottom of the coat or at the waist, nor is there any velcro closures at bottom of the sleeves. The fabric feels quite stiff. It might be warm if you can get it to fit.
The color paper white was great. The hood was attached in such a way that is was too bulky. Hard to pull up over head and then get laid back on shoulders. Too much going on under chin. I thought the fur on hood would have looked better had it been same shade of white as coat, and fur not as long. Lining of hood was not the same material as coat, so looked wrong side out. Otherwise a very nice coat. LLBean service is always excellent.
I love your products, besides my jacket recently bought two jackets for my kids and they are spectacular, it is an excellent quality, its colors, styles, truly, I am very satisfied with the purchase.
LLBean, please don't ever discontinue this jacket. It is perfect in every way.I use this as my daily running-around coat - it is downy warm, it is just the right length, it's washable, you can move around in it to take on any task.(It also works well as a rain jacket on those cold & rainy days, due to its detatchable hood.) I'm on my second jacket & notice that they do change the color selection from year to year, so if you see a color you like, best grab it while it's available.
