I LOVE my new jacket! This is the best fitting, warmest, prettiest color jacket I've every owned. The weather here in Pennsylvania has dropped to below 20 degrees at night, and this jacket keeps me warm and toasty! The hood can be detached, but I love the hood. It makes me look like an eskimo when I'm all bundled up. I highly recommend this jacket, especially in dark raspberry!
I have a longer parka but felt I needed a shorter one. I love the hood with the detachable fur as well as the fact that the hood has a cord/drawstring. If I want to I may remove the hood altogether. What I really love is the fleece cuff on sleeve at the wrist. Not a single draft of cold, bone chilling Canadian air is getting up my sleeve. Finally, I find the parka to be made larger. I normally take a large and found that the medium was more than comfortable.
I purchased this jacket to replace the one my husband bought me for Christmas that did not fit well as I am short. This jacket fits perfect in length and arms for the petite size. This jacket is extremelywarm, light and the petite fits perfectly.
This is the first winter jacket I have purchased from ll bean, or online in general. I love it!!! It's very warm, fits perfectly and the perriwinkle color is great. When ordering, I was deciding between the regular small and the petite small since I'm probably inbetween both sizes. I'm glad I went with the petite, because it runs a little on the large side. I would definitely recommend it and will look to ll bean again when I need another winter jacket.
