I ordered this jacket last year and have found it to be warm. I don't think it holds up well past -30 or so though. But, hey lets face it below -30 is just too dang cold anyway. I liked how it has very secure seems and the wind does not penetrate it.
Forewarning I found it to be much brighter than it appears online or in the catalog. It is a bright raspberry. At least my students can always see me coming on the snowmachine! It also runs a little large, but that leaves room for more layers of warmth underneath.
I have this coat in the jacket length and in brown, and it's just fantastic! I originally ordered a small, but L.L. Bean coats seem to run bigger than the size chart recommends. I exchanged for an extra small, and it fits perfectly, with plenty of room for a sweater underneath. It is so warm and the hood is large, so your head does not get cold! Thanks for such a great coat!
I love this jacket! I get cold very easily but this jacket keeps me more than warm. I am a petite size but this fits fine. It washes well also. If it gets dirty, I use SHOUT, let it sit for a day and then wash and is comes out looking like new. Thank you LL bean!
