Very Disappointing. I bought this coat in the long maxi length. Same design and fabric as the short style. The coat leaks feathers terribly/nonstop! It is too bad because the coat is a very nice style/fit. It is well designed with the hood and front snaps. It seems to be warm as well, but I cannot feel good about a major purchase when feathers are constantly popping out. The overall quality of L.L. Bean seems to be suffering. I hope they correct it, as I have been a big fan all my life, but it just does not seem to be what it has been.
Have had for two years. Exceptional in the warmth department. Petite size great for those of us just short not tiny. Planning to buy longer version next year. Great coat!
This jacket looks great on and is wicked warm! I usually like jackets a little bigger so I can wear sweaters underneath; however, this jacket is true to size. I had ordered a size up and when I realized it was too large I did the "quick exchange" and got the correct size in 2 days! Great service LLBean!
I purchased this jacket for my daughter who is extremely particular about feel and design of clothing. She loves it--loves its warmth, the texture, the fur around the hood and the length. Her complaints are that the zipper can be a bit troublesome (sticks and is hard to get started) and the pocket lining is scratchy. We looked at a number of other jackets and found that the overall construction and price beats out the others. I have purchased other winter jackets from LLBean and have been pleased with how they wear. I'm hoping the same will be true of this one.
