This coat was recommended on a travel website and I plan to take it on a trip to China and Tibet in April. I really like the warmth, but also that it is light weight. I can't wait to take it and really give it a work out on the trip.
Love this coat..a few years ago I bought this coat in white and this winter I bought the black.. Love the way it fits and the warmth it provides. I wear a petite small and it fits me very well.
When I ordered this jacket, I was skeptical that it would be ultrawarm and hold up to the freezing cold weather we have been having in NY this winter. Now that I have worn it for a few weeks, I love this coat!!
It is very warm and the pockets are roomy enough to hold plenty of things including bulky gloves. I have gotten it wet during several snow storms and I still stay dry and warm. The hood helps to keep out the elements and provide good defense against the snow and rain.
I highly recommend this jacket if you are having a lot of snow and want to stay warm and dry!!
I received the full length version of this coat as a gift two years ago and I still love it. It is pretty warm and roomy enough for bulky winter clothing underneath. The lining is smooth and glides easily over those winter sweaters. Would I wear it on an arctic expedition? No. But, layered over sensible clothing for the weather, it is warm enough for anything Northern Michigan can throw at me. This coat excels at blocking the wind. The hood is great, it's a good fit and you can really secure it. Your head and neck will never get cold. The cuffs hidden inside the sleeves keep your arms nice and warm. I love the pockets, very soft and warm, I don't need gloves or mittens if my hands are in my pocket. The pocket opening is just the right size to fit your hand and sleeve inside but not so big that cold air can get in. The zippers, snaps and stitching are all of the highest quality, not a single problem after 2+ years of heavy and rather abusive use. I would recommend this coat to anyone.
