My ultrawarm jacket arrived a few weeks ago. Sometimes VA winters are mild...but not this year. The jacket has been great! I've been calling it my walk-around sleeping bag. Walking the dogs at night, sweeping the snow off the car in the morning, I'm very comfortable. I love the hood and the fleece cuffs at my wrists. Glad I chose the bigger size to accommodate several clothing layers and a scarf.
Comfortable and warm but too short ( didn't cover my backside Pockets too high and too shallow. Fur trim got in my eyes But could be folded back or removed. I returned the coat With the great no hassle/ no return shipping fees.
I love my new purple down jacket from llbean. I still have an LLBean down jacket that is about twelve years old but it is getting a bit tattered since I wear it to the barn every day to do chores. I bought the new jacket to replace it but it is so pretty I have decided to keep it as my town and going out jacket instead. I love the fur around the hood too. I was a little worried about the size since I purchased an xs regular adult coat but it fits perfectly. I weigh 120 lbs and am 5'3". I hope it lasts like the old one!
As a Southerner, I don't need a coat this warm in the winter, but purchased it to wear on summer trips to the Northwest & Alaska. I read the comments and bought the M, and although the body of the coat fit right, I did not like the way the hood fit. It was made very small, and made the coat uncomfortable with the hood. A large was not available, so I will return it.
