I HAVE 3 OF THEM A BLACK , A TEAL COLORED ONE AND A BROWN !!!! THEY ARE SUPER WRM BUT MOSTLY BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT BULKY AND CUMBERSOME . I CAN EVEN WEAR A SWEATSHIRT (HOODED) UNDER THESE JACKETS AND STILL DRIVE COMFORTABLY . I GOT MINE AT OUTLET STORE BUT IF I NEEDED ANOTHER I WOULD DEF PAY THE SMALL DIFFERENCE .
Surprisingly warm jacket for an unbulkey type! Very soft & comfortable! For me I should have ordered the regular medium I'm 5'2 but petite hits at a funny place, high thigh! I would have liked it longer.. But it's fine! The hood & front top of jacket is my fav part of jacket besides the warmth. I can put Velcro tabs across under my chin, and it closes the hood very tight when it's windy/cold in CT while I walk my dog I'm toasty warm! I got black! Very nice!
First of all, I want to start off by saying we are an LL Bean loving family. We make this our first place to shop for winter gear, back packs, etc. Our closet is full of LL Bean jackets (husband and child) and fleeces. When my ski jacket got a rip, I was devastated and turned to LL Bean (as we were heading to Sunday River). Oddly, at 5'8", an avid runner and a size 6, I had to buy an XL. It made no sense as I've always purchased M. It was definitely a woman's regular size, and not petite either. The jacket, while ill fitting, I wore. My husband hates it and says it looks ill fitting. I needed a new jacket to stay warm on casual days and thought this jacket would be perfect. So many good reviews, I decided to give it a go. I read that the jacket ran a bit large. I opted to still order a M, worried about my experience with an XL ski jacket!!! It arrived today, and I immediately tried it on. While it is just long enough on the sleeves and fits perfectly from the chest up, I am swimming in it and in a matter of seconds, will have cold wind blowing up underneath the jacket that does not come close to touching me from the bottom half of the jacket. I am so upset. It looks really nice (the upper half) and is quite comfortable. I know if I order a small, the upper part will be too small and the sleeves too short. I don't know why there can be such a huge difference in sizes between jackets. I am going to have to return this and pay my $6.50 to do so and will not order another jacket from the Internet again. If it was just a little big, I wouldn't mind...I love sweaters. This is SEVERAL INCHES too big. The jacket is comfortable, I would advise AGAINST ordering online and instead, going to a store. I saw another woman said the small and medium both were not good fits, so perhaps the jacket style needs work to better fit a woman's body.
