This is my very first coat purchase from L.L. Bean. The coat is so light weight yet so very warm. I received my coat when the temperature outside was -14 for the high. I was snuggly warm in this coat. The quality is excellent and the attention to detail is too. I love that the sleeves are banded but to look at the sleeve it just looks like a straight sleeve, you don't see the banded part, but it locks out the cold. It fits like a dream, I ordered true to size. I also like that I can put on the hood and when the coat is zipped all the way and the band attached to the hood is velcroed shut, the hood is not going anywhere and it is extremely warm! The faux fur trim is also very pretty on this coat, and the color of Darkest Violet is a very saturated and rich color. I would recommend this coat to anyone.
I love this jacket! It is super warm in our way below zero temperatures. The fit is great and the color (colonial blue) is very attractive. I get many compliments on the color and the jacket itself! I highly recommend this jacket!
This jacket arrived today while we are experiencing strong, gusty wind and below zero wind chill - a perfect opportunity to try it out. I'm glad I listened to reviewers who said to order down one size - I did and the jacket fits perfectly. It is very warm (wish it were a little longer for added protection). The sleeves have inner ribbing and I really like the way the hood fastens at the neck, both of which give added warmth and wind protection. I'm out walking my dogs several times a day and I can tell it will be my "go to" jacket this winter season. Thank you, L.L. Bean for another well made product.
