My 20 year old daughter selected this coat. Knowing sleeve length is a problem she wanted a medium (she is a size sm/med); I ordered a small and a medium. It is a good thing I did order both, as the small was a perfect fit. The inside cuffs are perfect and this is perhaps the only coat where the hood will actually stay in place and protect you from the blustery wind. Being skinny, my daughter looks fabulous in the coat. As far as me (I wear a med.), it wasn't as attractive.
I wore this jacket in winter and froze-even with an under layer. It's a late fall jacket only. It's attractive but definitely not a winter jacket. I could not possibly wear this on a bitter cold day. I can't imagine what these people that say it is untra warm are talking about. I fluffed it up in the dryer and everything else and still froze on a bitter cold day-layer and all. Sorry but I do not recommend this jacket-- and I love LL Bean jackets. Their parkas reign supreme --but not his jacket. It's failure for me.
I bought this coat last year in raspberry and it is the BEST coat I have ever had. Love the faux fur trim. It is comfortable and a great fit. I even ordered it in the vest. Not a lot of heat at work so I bring my vest along and couldn't be warmer. Please don't ever take this coat off the market. Waiting for it to come out in a medium to darkish blue. I will never part with this coat. Thanks LL BEAN.
