This is not the prettiest coat sold by LLBean but it more than makes up for it by being practical, well fitting and dependable. I am so glad that this remains unchanged. the fur lined part of the hood removes. Some of the new coat designs have hoods that are oddly shaped and hang over the face. This is a classic style. The only change I would ask is for a navy blue color or dark green. Thank you for keeping this as is!

Very warm, yet light weight. Like that the hood is detachable. Definitely is not water PROOF, but is very water resistant. It was 4 degrees this morning and I was very toasty. Can't comment on durability since I've only had it a couple of weeks.
Really do like the jacket I just ordered from LL Bean except for one thing; it needs some sort of closure at the waist or bottom of the jacket the wind just blows right up and it's cold. Otherwise a good product.

Purchased this jacket on sale and what a wonderful purchase! Everything I expected from LL Bean. Plan to have for a few years, something that will never go out of style.
