Love the jacket but I should have listened to the prev reviews. My hubby got me a L for Christmas and that should have been fine but it was HUGE! I returned it for a M and love love love this jacket. Thanks for another quailty product LL Bean!
I bought this same coat last winter, but lost weight so I had to buy another coat this winter a size smaller. As others have said, the coat is cut to wear layers underneath. When I run outside in big sweatpants and a giant sweatshirt, the jacket fits well. When I am wearing regular clothes, it is big. My big complaint with the jacket is that the dark raspberry color is pink. I would have picked a different color if I had known just how pink the jacket was.
I know this jacket was not advertised as a ski parka but that is what I was looking for. I wanted something roomy (for layers under) and longer than most ski parkas. I especially wanted something for colder weather. It totally fit the bill. The hood with its chin covering Velcro wrap kept me warm and cozy on the ski lift. I am not sure I will ever use the fur collar but it zips off so no problem there. I am very happy with my purchase!
The jacket I ordered is extremely well made and the color is perfect, however I hoped it would fit a little more snugly around the hips. I called & was told if I ordered a smaller size it would be too tight across the chest, so sadly I sent it back.
