ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
This is an amazing jacket! I was looking for something to use when it is really cold, and something that would be appropriate in snow. I am always cold, so I wanted something that seriously helped to keep me warm. This is one of those jackets that is so good at what it does, I find myself hot in it if I'm inside too long with it on. I originally ordered a small (I am 5'4", 115lbs). Trust me and other reviewers - it runs big. I now have an extra small, and still have plenty of room. I LOVE that the sleeves are long enough to fall over my wrists - I can't stand when they are exposed. The jacket is not form fitting, as other reviewers have shared, but for me, that is not a problem at all. There is no issue with cold air blowing up the bottom. It doesn't make me look like a man at all - it's very cute on. I ordered it in white and I LOVE it. The only complaint I have (which honestly, is barely worth mentioning), is that the fur trim on the hood of the second jacket I got, had a really weird smell. It's mostly faded by now, and obviously it wasn't bad enough that I felt the need to return it. And speaking of the hood - wow! When I put that hood up, it covers my head & most of my face, too! Perfect for blizzard conditions! This jacket is HIGHLY recommended. The value simply cannot be beat.
I have been wearing my LLBean warm-up jacket for over 15 years, and was looking for a new winter jacket that is warm and would cover my rear. It is also a bit more feminine than my warm-up jacket. This jacket was on sale, so I grabbed it. It does run a little large, but fits me just fine. My previous jacket did not have a hood; I like the hood and the fact that it is removable. We have had a very mild winter so far, but the first day I wore it, we had blinding snow squalls; boy, was I happy to have that cozy hood!
