Bought this for my 80 y.o. mother who tends to get cold easily and she loves it. Noticed that the faux fur can be unzipped from the hood as well as the hood from the jacket. There are nylon sleeve inserts at the wrist to prevent cold air from going up the arms. The jacket is very soft and lightweight and the pockets are lined, providing warmth for hands. The jacket zips up to the chin, keeping the neck covered and the hood covers the head perfectly. And if my mother says it's warm, trust me it is!
After ordering a different coat, receiving the wrong one by mail, having them send the right coat but then sending it back because it didn't fit and they didn't have it in my size, I halfheartedly selected this jacket. After all, I live in Canada so a winter coat is an absolute necessity! My expectations weren't too high and I was desperate. But I have to say that I love this coat!! It fits great, it is warm and comfy, and it is not one of those big puffy down jackets. I love the soft lining in the pockets and the fitted cuffs. I haven't worn the hood up but I think the fur trim looks cute with the hood down. Highly recommend this jacket!
