I like the fit of the coat. Bought it with the wool lining, but would of thought for the additional price the lining would of been a little thicker & warmer. Good to wear in milder rainy weather.
I just got my coat a few days ago, and have not worn it in the rain yet, but I can attest to its high quality of workmanship and the exceptional fit. After reading the reviews for this product, I got myself an XS in size. I usually wear a small in tops and jackets, and since this is said to have a loose fit, I wanted to make sure mine was more fitted. It was perfect. Even with a sweater underneath, I still had room. It was not tight around the shoulders by any stretch of the imagination. So, if you want a nice fitted look, go for a size smaller if you are true to your size, and not on the cusp of going up to the next larger size. The material is top notch. I got the beautiful green one, and loved the color. I can't imagine anyone having a problem with this coat, unless it did not keep you dry. I did not see any reviews that it was lacking in that area so I will give it a big thumbs up.
I am 5 ft., purchased the Med. petite and the fit was good; however, the sleeves were too long and the wool liner was of very thin quality wool. Also, the hood when completely closed was not attractive. But the color blue was very nice and the fabric of the coat felt soft and supple.
I bought the earlier version of this coat in a long version, and decided the 3/4 length would be better for travel. I did not notice until I wore it on a trip to England in March that there was no wool lining in the sleeves. This coat is not nearly as warm as the earlier version, and is not useful for traveling in winter at all. Walking near the Thames, the wind was strong, and my arms were cold though I was wearing wool underneath. The earlier version is only water-resistant, not waterproof, but the fabric is not as stiff and feels so much better. It's good to have an inside pocket for cell phone, but there should also be internal pockets in the liner. I would not recommend this coat, and will try using a waterproofing spray on my old coat for my next trip.
