I recently bought this coat in 3/4 length and in red to replace my outdated raincoat. On a recent trip to DC (early April), I stood in pouring rain & stayed warm and dry the whole time! I like the color, versatility (zipper lining), cell phone & other inside zipper pockets.
Maybe something was wrong with only my coat, but it became shapeless the first time it rained. Might have been the thread. The color is good, the lining is fine, but the coat itself makes me look a mess & I'm embarrassed to be seen in it. I only wear it when I must. I kept it because I needed it & didn't feel it was right to return it, after
Great, classy-looking coat. Wool lining makes it look classier. However, if you prefer to layer, you can get the unlined, slightly less expensive one.
I would give this an excellent except for the dark felt lining strip that detracts from the overall look of the coat, if the collar is not folded over.
This coat runs large. If you are very petite and trim, size 4P, or smaller, you might want to order PXS instead of PS; and you will still have room to layer the wool-lined coat, if necessary.
Finally! I've been looking for a raincoat that works for chilly Northern CA rainy winters, and I've finally found it. I love the style, fit (I'm small), and the large pockets for phone, etc.
