This is a nice rain coat. I especially like the billed hood so that you can pop it up and not have your hair messed up in the rain. No need to hassle with an umbrella. Also, I like that this coat does not have that irritating draw string at the bottom hem that so many coats do. The drawstring just makes the coat feel restrictive and this one is comfy. Only suggestion is better colors, e.g. a darker more sophisticated khaki or beige, navy, olive green.
I purchased this raincoat for a trip to Scotland and England in October. It was lightweight for packing and great for layering with a sweater or light jacket underneath. The coat kept the wind off and offered all the protection I needed in 45-55 degree F weather. The 3/4 length and overall styling offer a little dressier look that works with skirts or slacks. I had a little trouble with my peripheral vision when using the hood, but this is probably the case with many hooded coats.
I've been eyeing the H2off coat for some time - but couldn't justify the cost. (Exchange on the Canadian dollar etc. etc.)
I took a chance on the Chocolate Brown coat on sale because I figured it would amount to a $50 saving by the time the price and exchange rate was factored in.
I was really confused as to what size to get and had been reading all the reviews to get a sense of how the coat fits.
I seemed to fit the criteria for medium but I was only slightly under the specified measurements so I decided to order the large size. It turned out to be the right decision. You need to do that if you want to wear a sweater underneath.
The coat is not baggy, which I like. Neither is it snug.
I like the colour more than I thought I would. Isn't brown the new black? (Or was that last year?) I like the fit, the deep pockets and the hood. I even tried the zipper and didn't find it difficult.
So it's a keeper. The go-to raincoat in my closet.
Everytime I wear this coat I'm smiling in the rain as I watch the water bead up and roll off. I initially balked at the cost but I have to say it is well worth the price. I don't even use my umbrella anymore because the coat with the hood up keeps me nice and dry.
