I bought this coat for a late summer trip to Alaska and was very pleased with it's performance during the trip and at home here in Seattle. The fit is great - not too loose or tight and it protects well against both the wind and rain.
I had this raincoat for a year now and I could not be happier! Its performance is what I expect from LLBean: exceptional! It is breathable and really wrinkles free, lightweight and comfortable. It is true to size (I wear XS) and very stylish. I bought it in red and the color remained bright and brillant after many washes in the machine! Just love it!
I've had this jacket for a couple of months and it's easily my favorite rain jacket. It's well constructed and keeps me very dry in the rain. The hood stays in place in the wind. I ordered it in black, XL and my only cautionary note is that the sleeves are about half an inch too long. Easily fixed if I wanted to but it's not enough of an issue for me to do so. You'll like it.
I agree with the reviewer who suggested brighter shades. I would love to see it in a pretty blue... like the bright blue of the trail model jacket, or perhaps the pool or lake blues. I am surprised at how many people feel the fit is roomy... i thought it was too tight. Hmmm... time for the tape measure? The upper arm is too tight.
