It rarely rains in Southern California where I live, so I have been putting off buying a raincoat for quite a while. When it started raining a little more than normal, I decided it was time and ordered this H2Off raincoat. It is lightweight, which is perfect for our kind of weather, and works beautifully. Of course, I've only used it once since I bought it, but look forward to using it again.
I bought a longer version years ago and recently decided to purchase the shorter version. It's practical, nice looking, and does a really good job in the rain. I get complimented on it all the time, and friends have decided to purchase their own after seeing mine. Definitely one of LL Bean's finer products.
This is a great coat for travel regardless of the weather. Love the length and the look is fashionable. I purchased the longer version with lining years ago and it has worn very well.
I have had this coat for about 3 years and love it, but today is the first time I wore it in an absolute downpour. Because it was not raining much when I left home, I didn't take an umbrella. By the end of my my shopping trip (I was walking), rain was pouring down, and 2" of flowing water lined the streets. As I was trying to find a good place to cross the street, a car came by and sprayed me with more water. When I got home, everything not covered by the coat was dripping, but the covered areas were nice and dry!
