I have worn the raincoat every day this week while our fall/winter started early. It is comfortable, warm (I got the lining), and totally waterproof. Several of my co-workers have already asked me about the coat to order for themselves.
Just missed a 5 star rating because of the zipper.

For purchasers: Love, love the coat. I'm 5"7", 200 lbs, carry weight at waist. 1X fits perfectly and with wool liner removed can easily layer with winter-weight fleece jacket.
For LL Bean: The zipper is problematic as the opening on the lower pull is a teeny bit smaller than the opening on the upper pull. To get the zipper into the smaller opening you have to play with it - very annoying. Lost a point for this problem.
This is the greatest raincoat that I have ever owned. I've been buying them ever since LLBean sold them. They are idea for multiple reasons. The hood means that I don't need to carry (and remember) a hat or umbrella. They are long and , so, keep me dry from head to ankles. The coat with liner in is good from fall through spring and is good in the summer with it removed. If you live where the temperatures are moderate, this could be the only coat you'd ever need.
I love that this is light-weight microfiber but water resistant, has the zipper wool liner, is mid-calf length, and has classic, stylish lines. Can't wait to see how it does in cold, rainy weather. Looks like it will be great for travel.
