Very nice piece. A little hard to put together.
PostedNovember 11, 2008
I ordered the white cottage locker last week, and put it together last night. Very well packed and wrapped. No damage upon arrival. All the parts were there (including a little hex wrench needed to screw in a couple of the bolts). Installation took a lot longer than expected (and I'm a pretty handy guy)...about 1.5 hours. The instructions were not great (a couple of mislabeled parts were in there) and I had to read them twice to make sure I understood what to do. Upon assembly, the locker is very sturdy and looks like it's of high quality. Looks great in my mudroom! Would recommend, however please read the instructions fully before you begin.

Bottom Line - Too Small
PostedNovember 7, 2008
Pros: Great color, simple style, easily assembled, sturdy
Cons: TOO SMALL
I purchased the locker to corral the mess in the foyer, but it isn't working out. It is simply too small. Once my daughter, nine, puts her book bag on a hook, the entire volume of that locker space is taken up and you can't put a jacket beside it. It is not deep enough for my or my husband's briefcases. They hang out by 6 inches. I cannot put my jacket, handbag and briefcase in one locker section. Forget trying to put shoes in there.
To be practical for anyone over 6 years old, it needs to be a minimum of 18 inches wider and 6 inches deeper while retaining the 3 sections. (Six more inches of height wouldn't hurt.)
We removed it from the foyer because we ended up hanging our jackets on the hooks, putting keys on the shelf (yes, handy) and piling bags in front. NOT tidy. It now lives on the enclosed porch by the back door beside a row of hooks for our coats where the pile is more acceptable.
So close....

Cute but hard to put together
PostedOctober 19, 2008
The finished product is great but be prepared to spend 3 hours putting it together. It wasn't easy -- and there were many times that we almost gave up. At one point, we weren't sure that not everything was matching up properly. It all worked in the end, but only after a lot of frustration.

GREAT ORGANIZER!!!
PostedOctober 10, 2008
Great piece of furniture; however, it was hard to put together. At some point, not all the items fit together neatly or easily and I had to hammer it to get to join together to then screw it together as tightly as possible. My neighhbors LOVE it and now the area is cleaner and more organized!
