"Our dog's bed set is several years old and still looks new. We have two covers, one fleece-topped for winter and one dark green woven fabric. Both are excellent covers that wash well and go back on easily. Monograms are nice, too. Excellent products!"

"Cats love the soft, comfy bed with its warm cover. I loved the fact that I could unzip the cover and throw it in the washing machine. After 12 years it still looks brand new! Even the sewn in name has not torn or frayed or worn out. It is so much prettier than most pet beds on the market, so you can leave it in plain view for the cat to enjoy - or move it to a sunny spot near the window."

"I have a very picky dog. I've never been able to find her a bed that she'll sleep on (she'd rather sleep on the floor then a bed she doesn't like). I bought this bed over a year ago and she lives on it! I'm very impressed with how well it's held up and that my dog still loves it! I bought the large size for her and it's the exact size as my ottoman top. I sometimes open the blinds, push the ottoman up to the window and put the bed on the ottoman. My dog enjoys laying there and being able to look outside at the same time. Love this bed and would buy another one if we got another dog (because I know my dog won't share this bed!)."

"I purchased the rectangular dog bed cover in blue for memory foam bedding I already had. The cover is well made, durable, and of thick fabric. It washes well with little or no shrinkage. I plan to purchase another for my other "boy." One suggestion to LL Bean: make the zipper go on two sides--it would be easier to take on and off."

"It took less than a week for our 15-month old golden retriever to tear the fleece top. He likes to drag his bed around the house and shake it and somehow the top got ripped. Overall the cover seems well-made but the fleece is thinner material than the denim and thus weaker. No biggie--we just turn the bed over so that the denim is on top. I'll see how the denim holds up and will likely order the all-denim model next."

"I shopped around before buying this bed, and let me say I am SO thankful that I got this one, it's awesome. Well made, washable cover, pillow with dips in it to curve around the dog's body, and it looks good in my house, fits in with the furniture, etc. Our dog loves it and immediately seemed to know that it was for him, he hasn't tried to jump on the couch since we got it! LL Bean, great job!"

"We had to replace the last dog bed cover we bought for Fergie (our border collie/shepherd mix dog) as she wore it out. She just loves her bed. Fergie is 9 1/2 years old now and spends lots of time snoring away in it. HINT: The white cushion under this cover CAN be machine washed and dried on GENTLE. I have done it many times now and it is as good as new."

"This dog bed cover is great, both my Shar-pei and Black Lab love it. I ordered the large for each and they just stretch out on it. The Shar-pei likes to scratch out the spot he is going to lay in, so the fact that he has not torn this apart is wonderful. Easy to wash and dry. My brother has a lab and when I told him about it he ordered one right away for his dog."

"We received this bed for Christmas of 2004 and it is still in great condition. We have gotten another dog since and the two take turns using the bed, in fact we are asking Santa for another bed this year. The dogs are always digging on the bed, they like to fluf it up and make it just right. The bed has held up to all their diggingover the years. We had another bed from a famous pet store for our first dog. The fleece side did not hold up like this bed does. I would recommend this to anyone for their dogs."

"My 90 pound yellow Lab adores his fleece LLBean dog bed. In the summer, I turn the bed over for the cooler fabric. But in the winter, the bed gets flipped fleece side up for a warmer sleeping surface. The bed insert fluffs up with a vigorous shaking. Machine washing & drying restores the cover of this bed to like new, there has been no shrinkage. We have cattle and our big guy spends a lot of time outdoors getting into all kinds of stuff, if you know what I mean. Therefore I do add a "smidge" of chlorine bleach to the wash water to sanitize when laundering. The cover hasn't faded in color one bit! I highly recommend, and have, this bed for your purchasing consideration."

"I purchased 2 of these pet beds(small size) for my 2 cats over 5 years ago, and I just have to rave about them! I decided to buy these because one of my cats, to put it kindly, had "outgrown" his old bed. Plus I hated washing the covers on the old beds. They were a pain to get on or off, never came clean, and the foam insert always had cat hair all over it as well, and it could not be tossed in the wash! So, just imagine my joy when I got these pet beds from L.L. Bean. The cover just zips on or off so it is super easy to deal with and it washes up like a dream, never a stray cat hair left behind. And the pillow insert always stays clean as a whistle. The cats just love to curl up in this bed. The bed has held up so well over the years and after many washings. It still looks like new!. I highly recommend these pet beds."

"This replacement cover for a dog bed cushion felt a like a splurge when I ordered it - I wasn't sure it would matter that much if it was fleece-topped or not.
Well, all my pets want to curl up in the nifty little bed - even the big dogs try to curl up into it, which is ridiculous since they way exceed the size of the bed. IUt is very easy to clean (vacuum the fleece top) and is attractive looking (I bought the blue color).
I have other much larger dog beds but this one is the one they all want to sleep on. Guess I'll have to order replacement covers for the larger beds as well.
