I am currently in Afghanistan and needed a jacket to keep me warm in the bitter cold. This jacket fit the bill. Since it is a 3 in 1 it is very flexible. Very warm with both pieces put together but not super bulky like some coat. The fit is nice. Only a couple of things would make this the perfect jacket: 1. A split zipper in the front. I hate sitting down and having it bunch up around me. A split zipper so that it could be open at the bottom would help that. 2. While I like being able to tuck the hood away in the collar, I do wish it could be detached as well.
This was also a great deal on sale, glad I snagged it.
Highly recommend this. Love that inside fleece jacket can be separated to wear on different weather. Only complaint is that it's bit tight putting your arms in when fleece jacket is connected. Armpit area is the only area bit tight & restrictive. Otherwise, this is really great keeping you dry. I always stay perfectly dry while wearing this even in pouring rain & always reach for it compared to other rain coat I have.
I don't usually like these types of winter/weather jackets but this one has such a nice fit. It is light weight but warm. Also, its so functional with multiple pockets. I always turn to LL Bean for my out door clothing.
I purchased this jacket combo before going to Alaska in July. I had been looking for weeks locally to find just this combination because I've been to Alaska before and knew I needed both the warmth and the rain protection this jacket offers. This jacket made my life easy, I wore it every single day in one form or another and let me tell you ladies - IT FITS the way it should fit. This jacket is cut properly across the shoulders and hips allowing for a nice fit and movement - I was concerned because the hip measurement is not shown in the description but the wonderful Customer Service woman was nice enough to go and get me the measurement when I e-mailed my question. It really is a very nice jacket and I'm very happy with the purchase. I only wish it was MADE IN THE USA, but other than that, LL Bean comes through again!
