Love this jacket
PostedJune 6, 2009
I received this jacket as a gift and it is one of the best I have ever had. I have received numerous compliments on it. The outer shell cuts the wind while the fleece lining keeps you warm and cozy. I have worn both layers together and independently. I never considered it a winter jacket - it is perfect for unpredictable spring/fall/rainy/cool weather.

Love it. Temps have been -20C to +10C, and the jacket has been comfortable through all.

Very Pleased
PostedMarch 25, 2009
Once again I am please with llbean purchase. Previous consumer reviews were pretty accurate. Jacket has great fit and true to a normal large jacket for me, sleeves have a nice length. And I love the design of the rain hood nice and light out of the way and covers well when used in our Michigan rainy spring season so far. Overall love the jacket only down fall I have is being the jacket has a fleece lining it does cause some challenges getting arms in and out when wearing any sleeved type of shirt, as fleece does that with any fabic (understandably I don't feel this is something LLBean fault its the nature of fleece). When I dress lighter with short sleeves the jacket performs very well and very comfortable.

Not too bad, but not too great.

All in all, this jacket was great. It was warm, kept me dry in the snow and would probably keep me dry in the months to come. However, my biggest peeve is the fact that this jacket became very uncomfortable and super snug in when I would wear a sweater. It's a great jacket for lightweight, layering pieces, but anything that's wool or cotton becomes rather uncomfortable. Something else that bothered me is the fact that the sleeves aren't lined-- granted that the coat is a more sporty jacket, and seems to be designed to be worn with polyester layers, as opposed to sweaters. It's a royal pain in the neck to take it off when you have a natural-fiber shirt with long sleeves on underneath. This isn't a good everyday jacket if you typically wear clothes that aren't sporty. It did keep me warm in NYC (at night) in early March over a lightweight sweater with short sleeves. So... not a bad coat, just not right for non-sport use. I plan to return it because of it's not convenient and comfortable for me and it has a small tear on the sleeve on the seam. I would recommend it to someone as a good wet weather jacket that will keep you warm when the temperature drops. Just avoid the sweaters.
