One of my daughters and I bought this jacket 1 and 2 years ago. We love it. The fleece liner is windproof and warm, the exterior adds extra warmth and weather protection. My other daughter finally bought one after borrowing mine daily and leaving me with my ?15 year old Bean parka that I still love. We bought black/carbon (sharp)and Crisp blue/blue horizon(beautiful).
This is the third one that I have bought for my children and each one of them have loved them. I like it because the boys will actually wear at least part of it.
I liked the style of the jacket and it fit well with a just a t-shirt on. However, I felt the fleece lined sleeves made it very difficult to wear when you had a sweater or sweatshirt on. I had difficulty getting my arms in the sleeves when I had any thicker layers on. I even tried a larger size and that did not help. I ended up returning it for a completely different jacket.
My grown daughter & I are often complimented on our jackets, which we purchased a year ago & both have in black. We love the versatility of having 2 pieces to use 3 ways. We are warm & dry in them, despite living in a city with over 5 feet of rainfall annually.
There are a couple of things which we think could be improved, though. I would like to have a two-way zipper which opens from both the top & the bottom of the jacket, which would make it easier to sit in. My daughter thinks the collar is too high for perfect comfort.
Overall, we love these jackets & recommend them to everyone we talk to.
