I bought this jacket last year in red. It is my "go to" jacket since it is warm without having too much bulk. I wanted to purchase another one this year but the colors are just too "pastelish". How about some earth tones for next year's model?
My mom gave me this jacket a year ago for Christmas. I am an avid skiier and traveler, and my north face jacket wasn´t cutting it anymore. I couldn´t have asked for a better coat. The shell stands up to everything, and the fleece is wonderfully wind-proof without being too bulky. The shell is also big enough to wear my down jacket underneath in real bad weather. Best of all the sleeves are long enough, and my shoulders fit! I now live in rural Peru at 15,000 feet in the Andes. We travel everywhere by dirt bike and when it rains I am the only one that stays dry. I am always warm enough, and being able to layer with the fleece and shell is invaluable. Thanks, LL Bean!
I totally love this coat. It is warm and keeps the water and wind out. I freaking love this coat and will never buy another coat from a sporting goods store ever again.
I bought this jacket right before I spent 7 hours on a cold open prairie. It kept me warm and dry, just as promised. But a few changes could make it a great jacket. The sleeves of the fleece inner jacket are should be faced in a slicker material to ease slipping in and out of the jacket. I felt like I was pulling the inner jacket out by the sleeves every time I put it on or off. The outer pockets are plastic on one side and webbing on the other. Hard to keep your hands warm with the jacket only. Lined pockets would really help.
