I have bought many LL Bean coats over the years and find the fit reliable and consistent. I loved the construction and feel of the Weather Challenger 3-in-1 jacket, but the fleece liner in particular is styled so that it is skin-tight. For example, the fleece liner arms fit so tightly that it is difficult to get anything other than a bare arm through them. I have opted to keep the jacket because I like the style and quality of construction, and because I will often wear it without the liner (the shell alone fits great). But with the liner in, I find it has limited utility especially when I must wear a sweater or even a long-sleeved shirt under it.
The jacket is comfortable and kept me warm during the last few cold days of winter. It's very functional. It's easy to take the liner out and put it back in. However, after a little more than a month of use I already had a loop in the sleeve that holds the shell and liner together break. I have not had the chance to try to return it yet. Overall, I'm happy with the coat but I wish the loops were a little stronger.
