ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, better than expected
My daughter got this for when she was on her college crew team. She took time to call me with rave reviews as she was the only one that stayed warm and dry! I had to get one. I am not on the river in the rain but I've been in downpours and she sure was right about the quality!

I bought my jacket in early September, hoping that it would keep me warm while viewing polar bears in Churchill, Canada in late October. It sure did! Freezing temperatures, driving snow and serious wind chill factors never bothered me. Layering was essential and there was enough room under the jacket to do so. It's also a good-looking jacket and not bulky. I'll wear this for years!
I love the way this jacket performs; however, it is very hard to get on and take off. The fleece lining is very warm but it catches on your clothes. Would it be possible to have a less sticky fabric that is still warm?
This jacket is great if you don't need to be out for any longer than 45 minutes in the rain. After that it doesn't offer much rain protection. Every morning my dog and I go for a 1.5hr hike. If it rains the whole time by the end I am completely soaked through. So it really depends on what you are looking for in a rain jacket. For shorter walks or for a dash through a downpour it's great but for extended periods of time it doesn't work. I can slowly see the jacket becoming saturated with water and then it's all over!
