I've had this coat for a couple of years. While I like the styling and features of the coat, there are 2 primary drawbacks: 1) It is difficult to put the coat on when you have a long sleeve shirt on and 2) it is not that warm. The pockets in particular are not warm. If you don't have gloves on, your hands don't get much relief when you put them in the pockets.
On a positive note, it is wearing well and I get compliments on it.
I bought this for my 18 yr old. He wanted another popular brand but I convinced him to go to the LL Bean store. He took it on a sking trip and said it is the best jacket he has ever had. Warm and very light weight at the same time. The 3 in 1 will be perfect as the weather changes.
After reading the reviews, I would not recommend this jacket due to the fact that the sleeves sweat and the fleece lining bunches up along with your shirt. I saw this complaint more than once. I also have a wind breaker with unlined sleeves and it sweats terribly.
I ordered this jacket for my son for Christmas, I tried to talk him out of it because of so many bad reviews but he wanted it. He loves the jacket but agrees with everyone else about the inner jacket, it is hard to put on with a shirt, because the shirt keeps ridding up. Overall though he is happy with the jacket
