I studied the size charts, measured and re-measured and ordered a large (I usually wear a medium) thinking it would be plenty big. I could hardly get it on over a tee shirt. I have three GoreTex parkas, some for 15 years, and am impressed with its comfortable, light weight. This jacket was, at least, 2.5 times heavier than any other GoreTex jacket I own. I returned it and can only suggest you order it 2 sizes larger than you normally wear.
This 3 in 1 jacket does all they say except it does not breathe. When hiking in cool weather and sweating mildly, I found the inside layer of the shell dripping with water. This was throughout the body as well as the sleeves. Otherwise, it performs as indicated.
My assessment of this coat begins and ends with the fact that it's simply not waterproof. I look for the one important distinction before considering anything else when looking for a cold-weather coat. I wore the shell only on a recent walk on a very rainy day and it soaked right through. Unless I don't understand the term "waterproof" this product is a complete failure. I am returning it.
This jacket is very warm while weighing very little. The liner does cling to and grab most shirts and sweater but it does have the benefit of a button at the end of the sleeve to prevent the sleeves from coming out each time you take it off. I didn't buy the Tall, and my jacket isn't labled tall but it still hits me below the hip line, and the sleeves are so long I had to have a tailor shorten them. I wouldn't recommend the jacket to anyone shorter than 5'8". It just won't fit well enough to be comfortable.
