Sadly I have decided to return this jacket after one year of use. The shell is amazing, it is impenetrable to the elements. It is the warmest and lightest jacket that I have ever owned. This is also its worst trait. It makes me sweat profusely whenever I wear it. My clothing gets drenched and I am left cold and wet when i take off the jacket. I also feel that the jacket is too short in length. When it rains or snows the water is directed onto my upper thigh area leaving my pants wet as well. So i have now opted for the Baxter State Parka and am awaiting its arrival.
ProsDurable, Comfortable, Performing as Expected, stylish
Great jacket. It's warm, moves with the person well and has practically no snag points. I found the jacket pricy but it seems to be good quality and it looks great. I would outside frequently and I find it's usually the right garment for most applications. Almost looking forward to colder weather so I can enjoy it more.
ProsGreat Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I bought this Jacket a few weeks back before real Chicago weather hit, and now that we are in the cold season, I am really enjoying and benefiting from the Weather Challenger 3-in-1 Jacket! It is very comfortable, breathable, versatile! Great price for the product!
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I would highly recommend this product. Having had cheaper 3-in-1 jackets before and some higher end ones as well, I couldn't have been happier with the quality of this jacket. My wife and I purchased the Rugged Ridge parka for a trip to Canada in January 2 years ago and felt we wanted something with similar characteristics but not as bulky for wearing around Pennsylvania. These jackets are waterproof, lightweight and clean cut. It is true as some reviewers noted, that the sleeves of the liner push out the end of the shell when you put it on, but i have found this to be true in almost any good quality fleece liner I have had. For us we just push it back a tad and tighten the wrist strap like you would do anyhow. It never "wanders" back out again.
