I enjoy giving these Vacationland hooked rugs as gifts. There is a scene for everyone, from the summer campers to the winter skiiers, beach folks and bird watchers. They are always welcomed as a bit of whimsy to perk up the hearth, the doorway to the deck or the floor in front of the kitchen sink. They become personal gifts that tell the recipient it was chosen just for them.
I have several different styles of these rugs and love them all, but I am dissapointed with the ski scene rug. The snow is dark tan and makes the rug look dull, and the skiers do not have very good definition. Also, the rug material does not seem to be as good quality as the earlier ones I bought.
I brought this rug for my parents as they are huge bird lovers and I have to say it was simply gorgeous! However, it is too pretty to step on so my Mother has temporarily put it in a no traffic area right in front of her fireplace. She intends on hanging it. Truly a work of art!
