I love my Bean's Wellies! I am a true size 8 and the boots were very true sized, with comfortable room for fluffy socks. I measured my calf with jeans on and the measurement was a little under 15 inches. I had plenty of calf room in the boot with the jeans on for an easy pull on and off. The height of the boot is 14 inches tall. I didn't try the liner socks from Beans. Maybe you would want to order size up if you really want to bulk up with socks. However, I found these comfortable in every way, attractive and well made.
Thank goodness for reviews. Previous ones really helped me with this purchase and I hope mine will help you. Yes. Boots run small; I ordered a size up. Yes. Boots run narrow, but I didn't have any fit problems this way. I'm petite, 5.2". My only real gripe about these boots is that they are shorter than I expected and hit me about 3.5 inches below the knee. This isn't good for walking in tall wet grass. I thought they would be taller. Also, they are narrow in foot and calf, so if you need to tuck in really bulky barn pants, you might be out of luck. However, I will keep them. I just wish they were more traditional big and clunky Wellies and not a more streamlined version. They seem to be regular LLBEAN quality.
Always keep my feet dry and warm - just a good sensible pair of galoshes. Fit somewhat large, which is perfect as I usually wear them with thick socks. Great boots!
these boots have been through 4 seasons and are still going strong rain, sleet,snow,mud flood waters. easy to clean. never too hot no matter the weather. no reason to stay inside and the dogs are very pleased too. thanx for an excellent product
