ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I have been wearing my LLBean snow boots to work in the garden when the grass and ground is wet and had been looking for some rainboots. I decided to purchase the Wellies but I was concerned because the reviews were mixed. I also ordered the Wellie Warmers, based on some of the reviews I read. The boots and the warmers arrived yesterday (very quickly, I might add!) and were perfect. We have had a very rainy spring in Maryland and everything is soaked. I immediately put on the liners and boots and trekked off across tall wet grass to the garden! The boots are perfect; tall enough to keep the wetness out and with the liners very warm and comfortable. They are a tad large (I ordered a size 7) without the liner, so I would wear heavier socks if I didn't wear the liner. These are just what I was looking for. I purchased the yellow Wellies; nice and bright on a rainy day. Thanks, LLBean; you did not disappoint!
I choose the flowery style. I have a wide foot and skinny legs (well, lower legs!). Two issues: They are very Hard with No cushioning. I put in my orthotics and two pair's of cushion insoles and my feet still hurt after walking in them within the half hour. Also, when I walk the boots make a loud slapping sound against my calf that makes everyone in a quiet place (like the library) turn their heads at me to see where all the noise is coming from! Quite embarrassing. Otherwise, they seem to be waterproof so far. I just wish they weren't so hard and loud!
