I have had these boots for 5 or 6 years and I can't wear them for more than an hour at a time. After about 30 minutes my feet start to hurt. I need to wear a bunion insert between my toes (even though I don't have bunions) just to keep my foot from rubbing against the side because the boots are too narrow. I also have to wear thick ankle sport sorts and inserts for padding. As other reviews indicate the calves are narrow, I can fit in them but with no extra room. I usually have trouble with tall boots around the calf not because I am heavy, but because I am short and the top of the boots come up higher on my leg than they are designed to. Even with all of my strategies I can only wear these for short trips to the grocery store and still my feet are sore and I am tired before I get home.
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I purchased the boots for my sister as we are both disabled and supplement our income with our organic garden. We grow Primarially Beef Steak tomatos, hot peppers and herbs. Our soil in western North Carolina is amazing for a garden itself, but I supplement its' productivity with a special mix of organic fertilizer I came up with after a few years of trying. The garden produces extreme plants and my retail customers love it. It takes time and work but the boots will certainly help my sister as her knees are bad because of their superion design and construction. Her knees do not bother her as much and the boots have a bit of extra room when her feet swell. I wear the rubber mocs and am purchasing a mens' boot for myself. I only hope these boots are made in America!

The Bean Wellie exceeded my expectations for comfort and dryness. Classic green was my choice. I though they would be difficult to walk in, based on an ill-fitting pair of a different brand, but not so. Great for rain and in slush season. I would recommend a liner for winter, they are not terribly warm. The Bean liners are good as well.
