I have worn these boots for the past two winters. It rains a lot here in Oregon and these are the only boots I will wear on the wet trails with my chocolate lab. I pair them with rain pants and a mid thigh hitting rain jacket and I'm good to go. I did have to return my first pair bc the rubber was cracking but ll bean customer service is so great they sent it before I had returned my original pair. The hunter green is classic! Highly recommend!
The quality is poor due to cracking of the rubber at the seams. The construction needs to be seamless. Each boot cracked in different spots. Wet feet are not fun. The lining did not hold up either, since it peeled back in a short time. The material must have clay in it; it is definitely not 100% rubber.
I have worn these boots for 4 months and both of them have numerous splits. They are made from thin rubber and are not sturdy or comfortable at all. I am extremely disappointed. This is not the quality I expected from LL Bean.
I bought a pair of the green boots, and have used them for nothing else but walking around our pasture - no hard farm work like I had planned. They have split in at least 7-8 places especially at the seams. Let water in like a sieve.
