I LOVE the print and the flexibility of the rubber. However, I am not wild about the shortness/height of the boot and the small calf area. I am 5'4" and the boot does not come up as high as I would like. The calf part of the boot is just too small. It touches my calf all the way around my leg while wearing a tall sock or similar but theres absolutely no room to tuck in jeans. The wellie appears to be sized right and even tho I have extremely wide feet, there's pleny of room width wise.
Purchased these for mainly rainy weather. Decided to try them in the snow with a pair of the LL Bean fleece socks and the Wellies liner socks. I was amazed, my feet didn't get cold and they were great for deep snow and light as a feather on your feet compared to heavy snow boots. I go out with my dogs and spend a lot of time outdoors in ALL weather. Love them!!
These boots are so cute, and fit well except for the width. I usually wear medium width shoes, so I didn't expect it to be a problem, but with SmartWool socks on, they were just narrow enough to be uncomfortable. I'm not willing to give up my comfy socks, so I'll find Wellies elsewhere, but I would still recommend them.
I am a runner and have normal size calves, and these boots BARELY fit around my calf, partially because of my calf muscle but also because I am short and these boots are probably higher on my leg than on other people. I found that the foot bed seems to be a bit wide, I ordered a 7 but think a 6.5 would have fit better. I wish the calf area would have fit better, because these seem like very nice rain boots. I am looking to see if there are any shorter wellies from LL Bean (ones that won't come up so high on the calf)
