I loved these boots for a while, but I have had two pairs of them now and the fabric by the heel of the shoe keeps rubbing off and exposing the hard plastic behind it. They are still waterproof and if I wear thick socks it doesn't bother me, but I will still be returning them for the second time to get a new pair (take advantage of LLBean's return policy - they have a lifetime guarantee for all their products! They'll send you a new pair for free).
I was genuinely shocked to find that after a less than a year of not-very-regular wear, these are split along the seams (and elsewhere!) on both boots. The rain boots I had before these were second-hand from the thrift store and they lasted longer! I'm returning these boots and definitely not buying them again.
I love how these feel and look. Very comfortable for a rubber boot. But sadly after a few months of relatively limited wear, one boot cracked at the seam by the toe and my feet kept getting wet. I duct taped them for now, but will not be ordering another pair. They are not exactly cheap, so one would hope they'd last at least a year!! Not sure I'd recommend these...:(
I have had my boots for 9 months and they already have 4 holes. They emerged were the seems of the boots join. And they keep getting larger each time I wear them. I needed a durable boot and did research prior to purchase and am extremely disappointed they won't get me through a second season. However they are comfortable.
