I had a pair of LLBean wellies that lasted me from my late teens through my early thirties. I wore them in snowstorms and rainstorms across the US. Then, finally, the seam split. I replaced them with a fresh pair, but the arch support is weaker, the rubber is floppier (so that the ankle has less support), and I feel like an awkward duck in them. Sadly, I will be returning them and continuing my replacement search.
I like the Wellies very much, so when I ordered this less expensive pair for my sister-in-law as a gift, I was disappointed -- you get what you pay for. The quality of the FIT and FUNCTIONALITY is just fine, but the sailboat color is horrid! It is like a bled, muted orange-red, and the sailboats look like they're print-screened on, all awkwardly colored. It is no where as vibrant and classy as the photograph suggests.
Great fit, lightweight, and nice look. Unfortunately, they started to crack after only 2 1/2 months and I will be returning them. I use them while working in my garden and while caring for my chickens and pigs. Saw some other similar comments about them cracking as well, so I'm off to find a different brand. Sad to say that I'm disappointed in the quality of this Llbean product.
I returned my first pair of boots for another, assuming and hoping that my cracked boots were the exception to the rule. In a very short amount of time, about 1 - 2 months, my new ones are cracked as well. I finally tired of my feet getting wet every morning when I go out to tend the chickens and threw them in the trash. It is not worth paying for shipping again to get another pair that will just crack again. What a disappointment! I love the look of my dark green boots and they're comfy but are of no use if they are broken!
