I have used L.L.Bean's Wellies for years. I am surely a torture test for these boots, because I use them while working with horses in muddy, mucky conditions on a daily basis. Even with such tough use, these boots have lasted for 9 months to a year before splitting and cracking. However, the last two pair that I have used have not lasted 3 months before splitting. I love L.L.Bean's commitment in standing behind their product, and always replacing the split boots. However, the quality of the construction of the product needs to be re-evaluated by the company.

I gave these to my daughter as a birthday gift and she was thrilled. It has been a very rainy spring so they will be well used!! She remarked that they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. She likes the slight heel which is great for lengthy walks.

I am so cheap that I normally buy my shoes second-hand or wait until they are flapping on the ground to purchase a new pair. Shoes are just never a priority. However, since I took up photography in this unseasonal tundra of upstate NY I never know if I'm going to need sneakers, rain boots, snow boots, or what. With my new Wellies I can keep this one pair in my car and no matter what the weather I will be prepared for the outdoors. I LOVE these and was confident that paying full price for a new pair of shoes would only make sense with L.L.Bean. Thank you for the quality!
